Gobi Matar ki Sabji

Gobi Matar Ki Sabji is one of the easiest sabji dish, perfect for everyday lunch as accompaniment to roti / chapati and dal rice.

Ingredients:
Cauliflower 1, medium size
Peas 1/2, cup
Onion 1 small, chopped
Tomato 1 big, finely chopped
Oil 2 tbsp
Cumin Seeds 1 tsp
Asafoetida 1 pinch 
Turmeric Powder 1 tsp
Red Chili Powder 1 tbsp
Salt as per taste
Water 1/2 cup + 1 cup water
Freshly Chopped Coriander Leaves

Method:
Cut florets of Cauliflower.
Boil water. Once boiled add the florets in it and add little salt. Boil the florets for 4 - 5 minutes. 

Again boil water and add peas and little salt. Also boil peas for 3 - 4 minutes.

Now in a pan heat oil. Add cumin seeds and asafoetida a pinch. As it starts to crackle, add chopped onion and saute onion until it turns transparent. 

Now add chopped tomato and mix. 

Now add half boiled cauliflower florets and peas and add salt as per taste.

Add turmeric powder, red chili powder and cook for a minute. Mix well.

Add half cup water, mix and cover and cook until done.


Garnish with freshly chopped coriander leaves. 

Note:
If you find water in the sabji, then cook the sabji by not covering the pan and cook until the water gets evaporated or for almost 3 - 4 minutes.
